Christian Family Radio’s newest station, KGCF (for “God’s Christian Family”) signed on August 6 from the top of the Becker Building in downtown Aberdeen. This new station on 89.5 covers much of southern Gray’s Harbor county with our conservative programming. It is our plan to “localize” this station, starting with weather forecasts in the future, but for now we’ve added a bit to the existing forecasts while we work on coming up with another signal. We had “paperwork” difficulties trying to locate the station on a tower used by a cellular provider that nearly put us past the expiration deadline for our FCC construction permit. Praise the Lord we were able to work out an agreement with the owner of the Becker Building, the highest building in Aberdeen. This building has been a landmark in Aberdeen with a 100 year history in the city.
