Through answered prayer, KOLU came on the air for the first time on August 31, 1971, the result of ceaseless prayer backed up by hard work and sacrificial giving. It exists today because people are still praying, working and giving.

We apply what we believe are high Biblical standards to all material aired through this ministry. For 40 years our listeners have trusted this ministry to maintain Biblical standards, a refreshing difference from other radio and television outlets, both secular and Christian. Christian Family Radio has served both to reach the lost for Christ and to build Christian families and local churches. We are thankful for the Lord’s blessing on our ministry and pray that others will join with us in upholding this work in prayer and financial support.
Our operators donate many hours a week operating KOLU while many faithful listeners financially support the station and pray that God will use it to bless the hearts of the people of the Columbia Basin and Lower Yakima Valley.
